Tahua Kete is a Te Āti Awa, Taranaki Whānui ki Te Upoko o Te Ika cultural service dedicated to supporting and strengthening the cultural needs of our community. Their experienced practitioners bring together tikanga Māori, mātauranga Māori and local iwi knowledge to help people engage confidently and respectfully with Te Ao Māori.
Their services include pōhiri and welcomes, karakia and blessings, whakawātea, rededications, building openings, and cultural support, education and development. From intimate gatherings to large-scale events, workplaces and community kaupapa, Tahua Kete can tailor its support to suit the people, place and purpose.
With a strong grounding in local tikanga, Tahua Kete works alongside organisations to build cultural capability and create meaningful experiences. Their team provides practical guidance informed by the history, values and narratives of Taranaki Whānui, helping people navigate Te Ao Māori safely and appropriately.
