Completed in 1908, Public Trust Hall sits within one of New Zealand’s finest examples of Edwardian Baroque architecture, right in the heart of Wellington’s CBD. Originally built as the principal banking chamber for the Public Trust, the building carries over a century of history, craftsmanship, and cultural significance.
Following an extensive refurbishment and restoration, the space has been thoughtfully transformed into a sophisticated contemporary venue while preserving its heritage character. Ornate architectural detailing, grand proportions, and timeless design create a setting that feels both iconic and welcoming.
Today, Public Trust Hall continues its legacy as a place where people gather — hosting corporate events, celebrations, performances, and memorable occasions in one of Wellington’s most distinctive heritage spaces.
