The Wellington Rowing Club

Whai Repo Lagoon, Wellington Waterfront.

Established in 1885, the Wellington Rowing Club is one of the oldest and most respected rowing clubs in the lower North Island, located proudly on Wellington’s waterfront at Whai Repo Lagoon. Rich in history and tradition, the club has produced generations of national representatives and continues to be a strong presence in the rowing community today.

Beyond success on the water, the club is known for its strong sense of connection and community. The historic clubhouse has long been a gathering place, hosting social occasions, celebrations, and events that bring people together.
